Lookup drop-down suggestions do not automatically populate for custom string fields

Issue/Introduction

When filtering within the Modern UX (such as the Projects or Custom Objects modules or Reporting), lookup drop-down suggestions fail to automatically populate for custom string fields. This behavior occurs even though Out-of-the-Box (OOTB) string fields properly display filter suggestions.

If your organization requires this capability for custom string attributes, you may submit an enhancement request directly to the Product Management team through the  ideation/enhancement request.
