Web Email Protection has the ability to send sensitive data and stored in a secure portal that end users can access.
Whenever a secure message is sent, a notification email arrives in the user's inbox.
PGP Encryption Server has the ability to use other languages other than US English. This article will discuss this non-US English localization.
Web Email Protection uses notification emails whenever a message is sent and are based on the language selected.
To set the notification language for Web Email Protection, follow the steps below:
1. Login to the PGP Encryption Server OMC portal
2. Navigate to Services > Web Email Protection.
3. Select the Notification Languages tab and select the desired option.
As can be seen in the following screenshot, many languages can be used:
In this example, under "Default global language", "English (en)" is selected. This indicates all notification emails will be in English.
If you would like to have the notification emails in a different language, select the language from the drop-down.
In PGP Encryption Server 11.5.x, many languages are available, including "Chinese Simplified (zh-Hans)", "Chinese Traditional (zh-Hant)", English (en), French (fr), German (de), Italian (it), Japanese (ja), Portuguese (pt), Russian (ru), Spanish (es), and Turkish (tr).
New with PGP Encryption Server 11.5.x, the customizations have been vastly improved.
As part of these improvements, and in coordination with Broadcom's officially "localized" languages, there are only certain languages the PGP Encryption Server supports:
English, French, Japanese, and Spanish.
For example, if someone uses a browser set to Spanish, the PGP Encryption Server's localization functionality will automatically display certain text in that language.
"Welcome Text"
"Footer"
The above Welcome Text and Footer text can be modified to the language needed. You can add all four languages and the text.
If the language observed in the screenshots is not available, you can type the actual language and have it show up but the automatic detection will not be displayed.
Note: Prior to PGP Encryption Server 11.5.0, the languages could be modified in a configuration file ApplicationResources_de.properties.
In version 11.5.0 and above, this does not exist in favor of a more simplified configuration toolset that makes customization of these easy to use.
As a result, only US-English is currently supported.
For expanded language support, reach out to Broadcom Encryption Support for further guidance.
