Issue/Introduction

Aria Operations for Logs displays a storage calculation discrepancy. The combined capacity of the /storage/core and /storage/var partitions across all nodes reports a lower capacity value (e.g., approximately 13 TB) than the total storage usage reported by the Index partition (e.g., nearly 15 TB).

Environment

Aria Operations for Logs 8.18.x

Cause

This issue is caused by a product algorithm inconsistency affecting index partition storage usage calculations.

Resolution

Broadcom is aware of this behaviour. A fix is planned for an upcoming release of Aria Operations for Logs.

Currently, there is no workaround for this display discrepancy. Please subscribe to this article to receive future updates on the resolution release.
