Issue/Introduction

  • During a VCF 9.0.2 deployment on NFS storage, the Cloud Builder or SDDC installer pre-check may fail with false-positive errors regarding VMkernel adapters or datastore mount status, with below errors:

Error: "There are more than one VM kernel adapters configured on ESXi" (despite only one being present).
Error: "The installer reports that the required datastore is not mounted on the host" (despite correct configuration).

Environment

  • VCF 9.0.2
  • NFS Storage

Cause

A validation logic error in the VCF 9.0.2 installer incorrectly parses host network and storage mount tables during the 'bring-up' process for NFS scenarios.

Resolution

This issue is fixed in VCF 9.1 version.

Note: If 9.1 cannot be used immediately, consider using the VCF 9.0.1 installer for the initial bring-up phase.
