When attempting to start upgrade for NSX Managers there is a failure with the below error message and the upgrade does not begin.
Pre-upgrade checks failed for MP: Failed to execute Check for the version sync status of UC on all the MP nodes .. Failed to execute method GetStatusSummary. upstream connect error or disconnect/reset before headers. reset reason: connection failure, transport failure reason: delayed connect error: 111VMware NSX
This issue occurs due to service unavailability or network connectivity problems between the manager nodes. There is a built-in pre-check to verify that the UC version is exactly the same on all MP nodes. The process of checking the version fails because the primary node cannot connect to the remote nodes to retrieve their UC version.
This is a condition that may occur in a VMware NSX environment.
Workaround
Verify services and connectivity. If the issue persists, check the service states on all manager nodes and verify that there are no network connectivity issues blocking inter-manager communication.
If the issue persists and no connectivity issues are observed then please raise a Broadcom support ticket for assistance. If you are contacting Broadcom support about this issue, please provide the following:
