Issue/Introduction

  • HCX Migrations do not progress during "Initial Sync in Progress".
  • From the "Events" tab, you observe the following event: "Storage not accessible error observed".

  • Running the HCX Diagnostics from the Service Mesh reveals no port blocks/errors.
  • The following error is also observed in /common/logs/admin/app.log
    <timestamps> UTC [ReplicationTransferService_SvcThread-2394, Ent: DEFAULT, , TxId: #######-####-####-#######] INFO  c.v.h.s.r.j.ReplicationTransferMonitor- Received Accessibility violation event for the transfer '#######-####-####-#######': {"reason":"No accessible host for datastore is found for syncing, please check communication between HBR and Host"}

Cause

Resolution

  • This issue is typically caused when port 902 is not open on the target side.
  • If no issues are identified in the HCX Diagnostics, please open a support case with Broadcom Support and refer to this KB article.

Additional Information

  • To run HCX Diagnostics, navigate to Interconnect > Service Mesh in the HCX manager UI, select your Service Mesh, and click Run Diagnostics to test network connectivity
