VCF Operations for Networks

Issue/Introduction

  • When a AON Platform node is deployed it is deployed with a scsi0.virtualDev = "lsilogic" and you want to use the paravirtual SCSI controller for Platform nodes
  • You change the controller but new disks are not auto-allocated as designed when they are added

Environment

  • Aria Operations for Networks 6.13.0
  • Aria Operations for Networks 6.14.x
  • VCF Operations for Networks 9.0.x

Cause

  • By default the scsi0.virtualDev = "lsilogic" controller is used when deploying Platform nodes.

Resolution

  • If you are using Aria Operations for Network 6.XX.X and want to use the paravirtual SCSI controller please open a Support case for a scripted resolution with the help of GS Support.
  • If you are using VCF Operations 9.0.1 or newer then this has been implemented already.
