Issue/Introduction

One or more of the following symptoms may occur while using or configuring Unified Management

  • Saving credentials for the Authentication Account of the Client Server, appears successful, but the Client Server remains unauthenticated.
  • Automatically logging in to Client Servers from the Central Server returns an error similar to
    The user name or password you entered is incorrect. Enter a valid user name and password, then try again.
  • In some instances, the error Unified Management requires at least version 8.0.0.2002 is displayed and PHPErrors-TIMESTAMP.log generated by the API Error Logs includes
    Last Curl error: URL rejected: Malformed input to a URL function
    Tried to call server  with no user token

Environment

  • App Control Server: Versions 8.8.2 - 8.11.0

Cause

An error in the logic handling for the API Token caused the token to incorrectly be rejected.

Resolution

This issue was tracked under EPCB-21472 and resolved with the release of Server 8.11.2. Upgrading both the Client Server and the Primary Server will resolve the issue.
