Issue/Introduction

• VxRail cluster deployment fails at the task “Enable vLCM for Cluster”.

• vCenter Server does not have internet access.

• Because of no internet access, the Image Depot contains only a single image, which was imported from one ESXi host during cluster creation.

• Cluster Image validation fails with the following error: “Software Solution com.vmware.nsxt with version 4.2.2.1.0-24765085 cannot be found in the depot.”

Environment

• VMware vCenter Server 8.x

Cause

• vLCM image validation fails because required depot components, including the NSX LCP bundle, are missing from the VUM database. Since vCenter has no internet access, the missing components cannot be downloaded automatically.
• The vmware-vum-server logs confirm that vLCM is unable to find the NSX LCP bundle component in the depot.

Resolution

1. Download the nsx-lcp-bundle component from the Broadcom Support Portal.

2. Upload the downloaded component manually into Lifecycle Manager (vLCM) to complete the depot content.

3. Run Sync Updates once the upload is complete.

4. After uploading the component, re-run Cluster Image validation.
