Issue/Introduction

• The following message appears on the VCF Installer Tasks screen:
  "Retrieve the status for VCF Operations with VCF Operations collector Deployment request"
Unable to obtain request status for request <request-id> Reference token: <######>
  
  
• The task was in progress for several hours before it eventually failed with an error.
  
  
• The following log entry is recorded in /var/log/nginxerror.log on the Fleet Management:
  upstream timed out (110: Connection timed out) while reading response header from upstream
  
  
• The following I/O latency log entry is recorded in /var/run/log/vmkernel.log on the ESX:
  NFS volume <datastore> performance has deteriorated. I/O latency increased from an average of 90671us to 24033227us.

VMware Cloud Foundation 9.0

Cause

The storage infrastructure is experiencing significant latency.

Review vSphere Cloud Foundation storage requirements and best practices.

Storage Models

Contact storage vendor if necessary to review the storage performance.
