This article provides a step-by-step guide to locating the HCX installation binaries specifically associated with the VMware Cloud Foundation 9.x releases.
Environment
- Product: VMware Cloud Foundation 9.x
- Component: VMware HCX (Operations)
Cause
Starting with VMware Cloud Foundation 9.x, HCX is bundled and distributed under the VMware Cloud Foundation product family, rather than being listed as a standalone HCX download. As a result, searching directly for “HCX” may not return the expected download results.
Resolution
To download HCX 9.x, follow the steps below:

Log in to the Broadcom Support Portal My Downloads

If not already auto redirected there, navigate to 'My Downloads' on the left navigation pane.

Then select 'VMware' from the All Divisions section and enter 'VMware Cloud Foundation' for the Product name and click Show Results

Click 'VMware Cloud Foundation' result.

The click 'VMware Cloud Foundation 9' on the next page and click on the desired version presented.
- On the next page is a list of all available software for that version, look for 'VMware Cloud Foundation Operations HCX'.

To Download a product, you must first read and accept the terms and conditions at the top of the page and click 'View Group', which will take you to the page where the product can be downloaded.
