Issue/Introduction

• While gathering CPU usage statistics, the VMkernel might encounter a race condition that results in a purple diagnostics screen with #PF Exception 14 error. In the stack trace, you see an error related to:

Cause

A race condition occurred when loading the CPU usage statistics (CpuMetricsLoadHistorySnapshotStats)

Resolution

This issue is resolved in VMware ESXi 8.0 Update 3h
