Issue/Introduction

When attempting to apply PTC Implementer license, receive the error message:

Reset attempted on wrong system

Environment

PTC Implementer 12.x used with CA 2E 8.x

Cause

Invalid license key

Resolution

The most common cause of the reported error is an incorrect/invalid license key for the IBMi machine where PTC Implementer is installed.

Please review Broadcom Partner Support End-Customer Guide for details on how to open a non-technical Support Case with the GCA for the generation of a new PTC Implementer license.

Ensure to provide the proper details of the IBMi machine required to generate the proper license as per Requesting CA 2E and/or PTC Implementer License Keys
