Issue/Introduction

After a certificate replacement workflow fails in SDDC Manager, the Certificate Operation Status in the SDDC Manager UI may continue to display “Certificate Installation – FAILED”.
However, upon verification, the certificates are found to be successfully replaced and valid on the respective components (for example, vCenter, NSX Manager, or SDDC Manager).

This results in a mismatch between the actual certificate state and the status shown in the UI.

Environment

SDDC

Cause

This issue occurs due to stale or incomplete certificate replacement workflows remaining in the SDDC Manager database.
Although the certificate replacement completes successfully at the component level, the workflow status in the database is not updated correctly, causing the UI to continue reporting a failed installation.
