After taking an action in the Console (such as attempting a Global Approval or Local Approval), Events are generated similar to
Error processing host [HOST_ID] ERROR_MESSAGE: Warning: Fatal error 824 occurred at Jun 10 2026 12:32PM. Note the error and time, and contact your system administrator.
This Fatal Error is returned by the SQL Server, and Microsoft states
Error 824 usually indicates a problem in the I/O subsystem such as failing disk drives, firmware problems, faulty device drivers, and so on.
Work with your SQL Server DBA to determine the next best steps; they will be able to evaluate the situation and determine what options are available.
In most cases, a database restore to the last known-good full backup may be required. Alternatively, the DBA may opt to attempt a repair with some data loss.
