vSAN is successfully deployed and vSAN datastore has been created. However,
vSAN cluster > Monitor > vSAN > Proactive Tests tab reports 'This cluster does not have any vSAN datastores.'
vSAN cluster > Monitor > vSAN > Capacity tab reports 'No capacity data available for this cluster'.
Storage policies such as RAID-1 and RAID-5 typically operate as intended, but they indicate that the vSAN datastore is "not compatible." This can be observed by navigating to the vCenter Menu > Storage Policies > selecting the storage policy > and checking the Compliance tab.
VMware vSAN (All Versions)
The vSAN UUID displayed by vCenter does not align with the vSAN UUID found on the vSAN datastore. This results in the vCenter failing to display a vSAN datastore for specific tasks.
To find vSAN UUID displayed by vCenter: navigate to the vSAN cluster > Monitor > vSAN > Support > Support Tag under 'OBFUSCATION' tab.
To view the vSAN UUID on the datastore: go to the vSAN cluster > Datastores > select the vSAN datastore > Summary > Location.
For instance, it might display a value like: ds:///vmfs/volumes/vsan:5277946ae577ac4d-################. To extract the vSAN UUID, format this segment '5277946ae577ac4d-################' as follows:
vSAN UUID = 5277946a-e577-ac4d-ef24-############.
