The datastore is missing from the list during the heartbeat datastore configuration

Issue/Introduction

• Some datastores do not appear in the list when specifying the heartbeat datastores for vSphere HA configuration.
• The target datastore is displayed on the [Datastores] tab of the HA cluster.

Environment

VMware vCenter Server

Cause

Fewer than two ESXi hosts in the cluster have access to the target datastore.

Resolution

Only datastores that shared by more than one host in the vSphere HA cluster will appear in the list of heartbeat datastores.

To use the datastore as a heartbeat datastore, please mount the target datastore to two or more ESXi hosts in the cluster.
