VMware Aria Operations (formerly vRealize Operations) 8.x

Issue/Introduction

The following warning message appears during the pre-upgrade check in Stage 2 of the VCSA upgrade:

Warning 
This vCenter Server has extensions registered that cannot be upgraded to or may not work with the new vCenter Server. Extensions: com.vmware.vrops (by VMware) on https://##.##.##.##/vropsPlugin.zip, vRealize Operation Manager (by VMware) on https://##.##.##.##/vropsPlugin.zip

Resolution
Please ensure extensions are compatible with the new vCenter Server and re-register extensions with the new vCenter Server after upgrade. Please refer to the vSphere documentation on extensions, and the upgrade and interoperability guides.

VMware Aria Operations 8.x

Cause

This is caused by old plugins remaining on the source vCenter Server.

Resolution

Re-register the VMware Aria Operations Plugin following the KB 338384.
