Issue/Introduction

  • NSX version is 4.2.0
  • You attempted to adjust the flow table on the ESXi node with the command:
    nsxdp-cli ens flow-table size set -s <desired_size>
  • After a reboot of the ESXi host, the set value defaults:
    nsxdp-cli ens flow-table size get
  • The ESXi Transport Node does not have a host profile.

Cause

NSX 4.2.0 does not save the change for "flow-table", it was made persistent in NSX 4.2.1 and above.

Resolution

This issue is resolved in VMware NSX 4.2.1, available at Broadcom downloads.
