Attempts to recreate a previously created VPC fails with error code 500045 an object with the same path is marked for deletion

Issue/Introduction

• Creating a previously created VPC fails during Create Regional Network setting Task.
• The task details section shows an error similar to:
  Bad Request: An object with the same path=[/orgs/default/projects/] is marked for deletion. Either use another path or wait for the purge cycle (max 5 minutes) for permanent removal of the object., error code 500045
  
  

Environment

• vCF Automation 9.x
• NSX-T 4.2.x

Cause

The failure can occur when the NSX cluster is in a degraded status in vSphere

Resolution

To resolve the issue ensure the NSX cluster is healthy. See Cluster Degraded Alarm article for further guidance
