NSX manager allocated memory fully used

Issue/Introduction

• NSX upgrade stuck with the error "upstream connect error or disconnect/reset before headers. reset reason: connection failure, transport failure reason: delayed connect error: 111"
• The memory on the NSX Manager appliances with the medium form factor is fully utilized, leaving no free space.

• SSH to NSX manager root mode and run less /var/log/vmware/top.mem.log 

• Top output on Managers shows memory usage is high but stable.

Resolution

This issue is resolved in VMware NSX 4.2.2, available at Broadcom downloads.

Workaround:

• Increase the NSX Manager form factor to Large (Resize NSX managers) or rolling reboot for all NSX manager
