Issue/Introduction

  • Tier-0 status shows the following error:
    Found errors in the request. Please refer to the related errors for details.
    [Routing] Transport node ####-####-#### of Edge cluster member must belong to transport zone ####-####-#### of linked logical switch port ####-####-####.
  • Transport Nodes and Tier-1 Gateways show no errors or warnings.
  • VRF uplink interface remains in an In-Progress state.
  • Tier-0 status remains failed after updating the edge member index of a VRF interface.

Environment

VMware NSX-T Data Center
VMware NSX 4.0 - 4.2.3
VMware VCF 9.0 - 9.0.1.0

Cause

Old unrealized trunk port realization entities and corresponding trunk switch ports do not clear automatically when updating the edge member index of a VRF interface. This stale metadata prevents the Tier-0 from reaching a "Success" state.

Resolution

This issue is resolved in VMware NSX 4.2.4, available at Broadcom downloads.
This issue is resolved in VCF 9.0.2, available at Broadcom downloads.
