Removing NSX components failed with error "An internal error occurred" after ESXi host network configuration changed

Issue/Introduction

After an ESXi host network configuration change, such as removing DVS, re-IP host network interfaces, or removing the NSX component using "del nsx" may fail with the following error:

• Host /var/log/nsxcli.log reported the error:   "Unable to Get DVPort List: Status(bad0003) = Not found
• "esxcfg-vswitch -l" command shows the following error:

Cause

Stale DVS entry on the ESXi host interrupted the "del nsx" workflow.  

Resolution

Open a support case and Contact Broadcom support  to remove the stale DVS entry.
