After upgrading to Messaging Gateway (SMG) version 10.9.2, scheduled backups and Backup Now unscheduled backups which use FTP or SCP for remote file storage are failing and the backup file is not transmitted to the storage server.
Cannot backup the database.FTP:Can't log in: Login incorrect. ERROR: Unable to send to the specified URL.

This issue is the result of a separate correction to the backup process detailed in this article:

This issue can be resolved by applying the latest patch to version 10.9.2 of the Messaging Gateway, or upgrading to a newer version if available. For more information on patching the Messaging Gateway, refer to the following article:
