Issue/Introduction

If you receive a failure response while editing an HCX service mesh.

Http failure response for https://yourhcxmanager/hybridity/api/interconnect/computeProfiles?endpointid=#################-########-####-####-####-##############Guid=########-####-####-####-############: 500 OK

Environment

HCX

Cause

This can be caused by the HCX binding account for vCenter and or the Site pairing account no longer having a valid password due to the accounts password changing.  

In /common/logs/admin/web.log on the HCX connector manager you will see the following error line when you attempt to log in.

Resolution

to resolve this issue follow the steps below

  • Update the binding password on the hcx manager 9443 admin page for vCenter
  • Update the site pairing password in the regular HCX UI
  • Re-edit the service mesh to make the desired changes.
