Error "Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'certificate')" when replacing VCD Certificate

Issue/Introduction

•  VCD updating Public addresses: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'certificate')
• The above error occurs when importing the certificate in Certificate Library and/or when Editing Public Addresses

Environment

VMware Cloud Director 10.6.1

Cause

This issue occurs for a CA signed certificate due to an issue with the certificate chain.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, open the newly signed VCD certificate > Details > Copy to File > Next > Base-64 encoded X.509 (.CER) and export the intermediate and root certificate separately as .crt files.

Following this, create the certificate chain manually as described in the below KB Article as .pem file and import this file into VCD:
