Pre-check for upgrade of Aria Operations for Networks fails in Aria Suite lifecycle with Error: Disk space on / should be at least 12GB for upgrade

Issue/Introduction

You are trying to upgrade Aria Operations for Networks using Aria Suite Lifecycle but the pre-check is failing with below Error

• Disk space on / should be at least 12GB for upgrade. Current available space on / is X.XGB in node <collector/platform node IP>.

Environment

Aria Operations for Networks v 6.x

Aria Suite Lifecycle 8.18.x

Cause

There can be multiple causes:

• Permissions issue on 'upgradebundle' directory mentioned in KB article Upgrade Fails Pre-Check when upgrading to 6.13
• Available disk space on root '/' partition is less than 12GB

Resolution

If you are upgrading from version on or before v6.13 please check KB article Upgrade Fails Pre-Check when upgrading to 6.13 for the permissions issue.

Else please open a case with Aria operations for Networks team to safely clean the root partition or increase size.
