After upgrading Aria Operations from 8.18.3 to 8.18.4, duplicate objects for vSphere adapter are found.

Issue/Introduction

• Aria Operations has recently been upgraded to version 8.18.4.
• Duplicate Host System objects have been created following the upgrade.
• The duplicated Host System objects show as not licensed.
• The duplicated Host System objects have no historical data in comparison to the original object.
• The duplicated Host System objects will be collecting data only on for the SDDC management pack, VMware vSphere adapter will be in a not collecting status.

Environment

Aria Operations 8.18.x

Cause

Incompatible version of SDDC Health Management Pack installed.

Resolution

1. Uninstall the SDDC Health Management Pack, after which Aria Operations will mark the duplicate objects as not-existing, and mark them for deletion.

Additional Information

VMware Aria Operations Management Pack for SDDC Health Monitoring 8.12.X is not working properly in Aria Operations 8.18.x
