Aria Operation 8.18.x

VMware Aria Operations Management Pack for SDDC Health Monitoring 8.12.X

Resolution

This management pack has been deprecated and no further features will be developed. You may use VMware Infrastructure Health Management Pack as its replacement.

Additional Information

To remove the SDDC Health Monitoring Management Pack. Uninstalling this management pack is actively recommended in 8.18.x environments to prevent overlapping data collection, duplicate Host System objects, and conflicting alerts (such as false sizing alerts) that can occur when both SDDC Health and the native VIH adapters run simultaneously (as documented in KBs 407152 and 396086).

Uninstallation Procedure:

  1. Log in to the Aria Operations Product UI with administrative privileges.
  2. Navigate to Administrations > Integrations > Repository.
  3. Locate the VMware Aria Operations Management Pack for SDDC Health Monitoring.
  4. Click the vertical ellipsis (three dots) next to the management pack and select Uninstall.
  5. Once uninstalled, navigate to Data Sources > Integrations > Adapter Instances, and ensure any lingering instances of the "SDDC Health Adapter" have been removed.

Important Note for Aria Suite Lifecycle: If you currently rely on the SDDC Health Management Pack to pipe operational health status directly into the Aria Suite Lifecycle UI, removing this pack will stop that specific data flow. If this occurs, you can disable the "Health Check" status for the Aria Operations environment within Aria Suite Lifecycle.
