VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle 8.18.x
These issues are primarily observed in VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle environments that have been gradually upgraded from version 8.4.x to 8.18.0 over time.
Patch 3
If an issue is encountered while applying Patch 3, follow the steps outlined in the KB article VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle 8.18 Patch 3 Installation Runbook to resolve it.
Patch 5
If an issue is observed while applying Patch 5, enable FIPS Mode Compliance before reapplying the patch.
Steps to enable FIPS Mode Compliance:
Log in to the Aria Suite Lifecycle UI.
From the My Services Dashboard, select Lifecycle Operations, then navigate to Settings.
On the System Administration page, click System Details.
Select the checkbox FIPS Mode Compliance and click UPDATE.
Note: Enabling or disabling FIPS Mode Compliance restarts the Aria Suite Lifecycle Manager appliance. Please wait for the UI to come back online before proceeding.
Once the appliance is back up, retry the patch installation request from the Aria Suite Lifecycle UI.
After the patch is successfully applied, disable FIPS Mode Compliance.
