The Aria Operations for Logs UI is not loading and the system is not functioning

Issue/Introduction

The Aria Operations for Logs UI is not accessible. The issue is monitored after a fail trial to renew the certificate for Operations Lifecycle manager.

 

Cause

Certificate expired causing Cassandra service to crash and /var/log/messages file to bloat and fill the root partition.

Resolution

1. Take snapshots of all Aria operations for logs nodes.
2. Clear space on root partition by following KB Large File Sizes of /var/log/messages and /var/mail/root Causing Root Partition to Fill Up in Aria Operations for Logs
3. Then generate and install new self-signed certificates from KB Install a custom certificate in VMware Aria Operations for Logs 8.12 and Later
