Aria Operations Day 2 functions from Lifecycle Manager fail with Error Code LCMVROPCONFIG200002 VMware Aria Operations admin password is missing/invalid

Issue/Introduction

• When attempting Day 2 functionalities (such as SSL certificate replacement, inventory sync, sync usage, etc.) on the Aria Operations environment from Lifecycle Manager the operation fails with the following error message

Error Code LCMVROPCONFIG200002 VMware Aria Operations admin password is missing/invalid. Invalid VMware Aria Operations admin password. Please use special char from !@#$%^&*+= 

• The Aria Operations admin password contains a special character that is not in this list

Aria Suite Lifecycle Manager 8.x

Cause

The issue occurs when the Aria Operations admin password has special characters outside of the approved criteria list

Resolution

To resolve this issue, change the Aria Operations admin password to adhere to the proper criteria. See How to Reset the Admin Password in VMware Aria Operations

After the Aria Operations admin password has been changed Retry the Aria Operations Day 2 task from Lifecycle Manager once again
