Issue/Introduction

• Error updating Compute Profile "Cannot create/modify Compute Profile '<compute-profile-name>' since another operation is already in progress."
• Any modifications to the Compute Profile may succeed initially; however, once the issue occurs, subsequent attempts will fail.

Environment

VMware HCX 4.11.0 or earlier

Cause

A backend task is stuck in processing state, preventing the progress of new operations on the Compute Profile.

Resolution

This issue is resolved in VMware HCX 4.11.1, available at Broadcom downloads.

Temporary Workaround: Restart the app-engine service by executing 'systemctl restart app-engine' as root.
