Issue/Introduction

  • ESXi host gets  disconnected from vCenter server intermittently.

  • On ESXi host, hostd service keeps crashing during the disconnect and generates host-zdump crash dumps in /var/core/ directory.

  • In the /var/run/log/vobd.log on the ESXi host, you may see entries similar to:

202#-0#-##T22:23:02.118Z: [UserWorldCorrelator] 5873###59960us: [esx.problem.hostd.core.dumped] /bin/hostd crashed (21 time(s) so far) and a core file may have been created at /var/core/hostd-zdump.001. This may have caused connections to the host to be dropped.
