Deploying VI WLD NSX shows "Install skipped"

Issue/Introduction

 When upgrading SDDC Manager, NSX install being skipped failure message is shown.

Error Messages observed:  "Install Skipped", NSX version: 4.2.1.0.0.24304122

Alarms ongoing and fixes fail and we are back to the "install skipped".

Reproduction:

1. Access the NSX Manager UI.
2. On the NSX Manager UI, click System --> Fabric --> Host Transport Nodes.
3. On the host with "NSX Install Failed" status, click "NSX Install Failed" and then click "RESOLVE," 
4.  4. Click again on RESOLVE to confirm the process.
5.  The NSX Manager reinstalls all NSX VIBs and does the configuration to fix the issue.
6.  After a few minutes, the host transport node status will be "Success"
7.  Go back to the VxRail Update Tab and click "retry" on the update process.

Environment

VMware Cloud Foundation 4.x

VMware Cloud Foundation 5.x

Cause

vSphere Lifecycle Manager sets the upgrade status incorrectly during retry even though there are errors reported by NSX Manager during upgrade.

Resolution

Follow the steps in: 

SDDC Manager shows NSX upgrade on vLCM domains as successful after failed retry  

which provide the resolution to the issue.
