Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

  • Configuring the vSphere Replication may report below error:

    "Time skew between this machine and vCenter Server is too large"

  • Site Recovery UI will be reporting the error as below:

     "vSphere Replication - UI error: Unable to connect to PSC service"

  •  

Environment

VMware vSphere replication 8.x
Site Recovery Manager 8.x
VMware vSphere replication 9.x
VMware live Recovery 9.x

Cause

This issue is reported when there is a time difference between the vSphere Replication appliance and the vCenter Server.
This could be due to a improper or non-functional NTP synchronization.

Time difference should not be more than 30 seconds between the vSphere Replication appliance and the vCenter Server.

Resolution

Make sure the NTP is configured correctly on the vSphere Replication appliance and the vCenter server.
