Issue/Introduction

In SDDC Manager 9.0, previously attempted VCF bundle uploads from earlier versions (e.g., 5.x.y.z) fail to re-upload.
This behavior is due to underlying architectural changes introduced in version 9.0.

This issue may occur in the following common situations:

  • Scenario 1: The bundle was downloaded and uploaded before upgrading to 9.0, but the upload failed. After upgrading to 9.0, the customer tries to re-download and re-upload the same bundle, resulting in an upload failure.
  • Scenario 2: The bundle was successfully downloaded and uploaded prior to the 9.0 upgrade. Later, after upgrading to 9.0, the customer attempts to upload the same bundle again (e.g., 5.x or 9.x bundles). The re-upload of the previously handled bundle fails in this case as well.

Environment

VCF 9.0

Resolution

Cleanup the previously attempted bundle using the Bundle cleanup script and continue with re download/re upload bundle workflows.
