Error while removing a vSAN capacity disk "com.vmware.vsan.resourceprecheck.removeCapacityInDedupDiskGroupNotSupported"

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

• Removing the capacity disk from the disk group might fail with the below error: 

The operation is not supported on the object.com.vmware.vsan.resourceprecheck.removeCapacityInDedupDiskGroupNotSupported

• Error is reported only from the vSAN cluster where Deduplication is enabled.

Environment

VMware vSAN 7.x
VMware vSAN 8.x

Cause

When Deduplication is enabled in vSAN cluster, individual capacity disks cannot be removed from the disk groups. vSAN manages this features at the disk group level, and removing a single disk within a disk group would disrupt data integrity and cause issues with vSAN's internal data structures. 

Resolution

This is an expected behaviour.

Option here is to remove the the disk group and recreate with the required disks.
Note: Please confirm impact before removing the disk group using Data Migration Pre-check.
