Task in workflow "Connect Operations to Domain xxxxx" is failing

Issue/Introduction

When attempting to connect Aria Operations to a Workload Domain on SDDC Manager an error is encountered - 

• Description: Preparation step for VMware Aria Operations Connection to Workload Domain
• Progress Messages: VMware Aria Operations endpoint preparation failed
• Reference Token: XXXXXX 
• Cause: POST request failed with: {"errorCode":"VCF_ERROR_INTERNAL_SERVER_ERROR","arguments":[],"message":"A problem has occurred on the server. Please retry or contact the service provider and provide the reference token.","causes":[{"type":"com.vmware.cloud.foundation.rest.commonsvcs.runtime.ApiException","message":"java.net.SocketTimeoutException: timeout"},\{"type":"java.net.SocketTimeoutException","message":"timeout"},\{"type":"java.net.SocketException","message":"Socket closed"}],"referenceToken":"XXXXXX"}

 

 

Environment

VCF 5.2.X

Cause

A timeout issue is being encountered - "SocketTimeoutException".

This is a known issue where the vCenter session had expired before the discovery phase of the precheck workflow completed.
