Array pair wont detect datastores

Issue/Introduction

• Array-based replication has been configured and LUNs show as being replicated on the array side.
• Supported Storage Replication Adapter is installed.
• "DISCOVER DEVICES" does not return and list the expected replicated LUNs.

Environment

Site Recovery Manager 8.x

Live Site Recovery 9.x

Cause

3rd party Storage Replication Adapter is failing to detect and report replicated LUNs to Site Recovery Manager.  This may be due to uninitialized replication states at the time of Storage Replication Adapter installation and Array Manager Pair creation.

Resolution

• Ensure a recent "DISCOVER DEVICES" task has been ran via Desired datastore is not displayed when configuring an array-based replication Protection Group in SRM
• Disable, Remove and Re-add the array manager pair.

• Run another "DISCOVER DEVICES" task.
• Should replicated LUNs still not be reported, Storage Replication Adapter vendor may need to be engaged.
