Desired datastore is not displayed when configuring an array-based replication Protection Group in SRM

Issue/Introduction

• The desired datastore is missing from datastore list in step 3 'Datastore groups' from the Protection Group creation wizard when configured to use array-based replication
• Datastores show status as "Not Replicated" from the Protection Group

Environment

Site Recovery Manager 8.8 +

Live Site Recovery 9.0 +

All storage vendors

Cause

The desired datastore has not been configured to be replicated within the array

Or

The Storage Replication Adapters (SRAs) have not been rescanned

Resolution

Ensure the desired datastore is replicated via the array

• Please contact your storage array vendor if you are unaware if the replication was been configured
• This replication needs to be configured within the storage array UI

Rescan the Storage Replication Adapters (SRAs)

• Log into the Site Recovery UI
• Click on 'Site Pair' tab
• Click on 'Array Pairs'
• Select the desired array pairing
  • All the replicated datastores within the selected array pair will display in the window below 'Discover Devices'
    
    
• Click on 'Discover Devices' to enable the SRAs to rescan for newly array-based replicated datastores
