Issue/Introduction

You are planning to upgrade to a new machine and need to know if new LMP (License Management Program) keys are required

Environment

Mainframe Software products: CA 1 Tape Management - Datacom A/D - Endevor - Gen - IDMS - Librarian - PAN/SQL - Smart Restart - XCOM

Note:  This is not a complete list, and available products may change over time. 

Resolution

  • If your current keys are site keys, new keys are not required. Keep in mind that usage must be reported to Broadcom based on the terms of your contract.
  • If your current license keys are tied to specific machine information, new keys are required. To request a new set of keys, contact Broadcom Customer Care
