Download Source in Lifecycle Manager showing as Validating

Issue/Introduction

In vCenter UI when you navigate to Lifecycle Manager > Settings > Patch Setup you see connectivity status as Validating.

Environment

vCenter 7.x

vCenter 8.x

Cause

When navigating to Lifecycle Manager > Settings > Patch Setup, Validation process will be triggered each time when you access this tab.

Refreshing tab or switching to different tab will trigger the same behavior.

Resolution

This is expected behavior as status will change to connected after a few minutes.
