ISG Content Analysis CAS-VA

Issue/Introduction

Following Content Analysis virtual appliance operating system reboot, upgrade or new installation it is not possible to access the CAS console. Serial interface console output shows that the last OS boot FAILED, example:

 

 

Resolution

Please:

  • Carry out a Content Analysis system factory reset following article ID: 171567 - "How to perform a factory reset on a Content Analysis System (CAS)"

    Or (quicker)

  • Re-deploy the ISG CAS virtual appliance following guidelines present in the Content Analysis admin guide depending on the type of deployment:

    VMware

    AWS

    KVM

    Azure

    Hyper-V

    Google Cloud
