[VMC on AWS] Unable to subscribe to VMware-curated Microsoft software repository content library

Issue/Introduction

Attempting to subscribe to the VMware-curated Microsoft software repository by creating a subscribed Content Library using the following URL: https://vmc-microsoft-templates.s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/Images/lib.json will throw the below error:-

Unable to resolve remote library hostname:vmc-microsoft-templates.s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com

Environment

VMware Cloud on AWS

Cause

The client machine from which you are accessing vCenter does not have access to the URL: https://vmc-microsoft-templates.s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/Images/lib.json

Resolution

• Perform checks on the firewall rules and/or SSL filtering from the Client machine from which vCenter is being accessed to understand why it is unable to access the URL: https://vmc-microsoft-templates.s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/Images/lib.json (Note: This falls outside the scope of Broadcom support).
• The reason for this is that SSL thumbprint verification is done at the client side.
