Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

  • Aria Automation root passwords are not expired
  • Aria Lifecycle manager inventory sync completes successfully, but the SOS health check errors are still present
  • Health Check operations in SDDC Manager fails at the sub-task:

Password-check Perform Password expiry status checks on SDDC components

  • The password expiry check section of the SOS utility reports the following error (in this example, Aria Automation nodes were reporting the error):

Environment

VMware Cloud Foundation 5.x

Cause

The SDDC Manager has the incorrect or mismatched Host Keys stored in the several known_hosts files.

Resolution

Update the host keys in SDDC Manager for the node(s) reporting the "Failed to get details" during the SOS health check.
