Unable to patch cluster hosts due to absent/bad VSAN disk error

Issue/Introduction

Remediation/upgrade failed with error:

Health check for "VSAN Cluster Name" failed

vSAN health test "Operation health" reported an issue for cluster "vSAN cluster name" Check the vSAN health 

Absent disk reported with one of esxi host.

Environment

ESXi 7.X

ESXi 8.X

Cause

Bad hardware/physical disk with VSAN disk group

Resolution

• Replaced bad disk
• Configured diskgroup as having dedup+compression.
• Followed steps from KB 327038
