Error in vSphere Replication Enhanced Replication Mappings

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

• The following error is being encountered at one of the sites during the health check: Fault occurred while performing health check. Details: 'Login: Login denied. Login request is denied.; ClientConnection (client=[Source_ESXI_IP]:59937) failed login attempt'.
• Configuring new replication using Enhanced Replication failed and remains stuck in a 'Not Active' state.

Environment

vSphere Live Recovery 9.x

Cause

The token verification information may become outdated or inconsistent across hbrsrvuw instances, causing authentication issues during enhanced replication operations.

Resolution

1) Take snapshot of vsphere replication appliance on both sites.

2) SSH into the appliance

3) Perform a restart of hbrsrv service using 'systemctl restart hbrsrv'
