Upgrading Site Recovery Manager from 8.7 to 9.2.0.1

Issue/Introduction

When upgrading SRM with VRMS from 8.7 to 9.2.0.1, the administrator needs to know if a vCenter reconfiguration is required after each upgrade step to ensure connectivity and retrieval of new self-signed SSL certificates, or if the upgrade can proceed from 8.7 to 8.8.0.3 and then to 9.2.0.1, followed by a single reconfiguration to vCenter and acceptance of the new self-signed certificates.

Resolution

• It is not required to create a new self-signed SSL Certificate after each upgrade.
• It is recommended to reconfigure Live recovery after each upgrade from VAMI page and ensure that the sites are connected and paired.
