Workflow actions created for users do not show

Issue/Introduction

After upgrading Aria Automation appliance from 8.17 to 8.18.1, the following workflow action created/added for the users are not showing up even though these users' access for actions are following Configure User Access for Actions.

We can see the workflow actions are completed with no issue:

In the VMware vRealize Orchestrator dashboards in Aria Operations, the above workflow created are supposed to show as below for the users. But these workflow actions are missing.

Environment

Aria Operations 8.16 and above

Aria Automation 8.16 and above

Management Pack for VMware Aria Automation Orchestrator (formerly known as VMware vRealize Orchestrator adapter) 3.1.1 and above

 

 

Cause

The upgrade of the Aria Automation appliance might have caused some syncing issue among the components.

Resolution

Workaround:

Reconnect to the vCenter in Aria Automation Orchestrator .

Steps can refer to Aria Automation Orchestrator 8.x Workflow - Selecting a VM to run workflow on does not populate vCenter inventory in UI.

Additional Information

Though the cause is not due to incompatibility in this case, it's always the best practice to check the interoperability before upgrading the components.
